Your learning path, step by step

A six-month journey from “What am I looking at?” to “I know what to do next.”

This learning path is designed for founders and managers who want a structured route to financial confidence. Each phase builds on the last, so you’re never overloaded and always working with context from your own business.

By the end of the program, reading your numbers and planning ahead becomes a weekly habit, not a stressful quarterly event.

Program at a glance

The learning path is intentionally compact. We focus on the minimum effective tools you need to make better decisions, not a library of unused frameworks.

Duration

6 months of guided learning with short breaks built in for implementation.

Format

Live online workshops, practical assignments and optional office hours.

For whom

Owners, general managers and senior leaders responsible for financial decisions.

Cohort size

Small groups so we can refer to real examples from your sector and context.

Month-by-month journey

Each month has a clear theme. You’ll always know what you’re working on and why it matters right now for your business.

1

Financial story foundations

Map how money moves through your business, connect your P&L, balance sheet and cash flow, and identify the three key numbers you’ll track every month.

2

Cash flow & breathing room

Learn to spot timing gaps, build a simple cash forecast and design buffers that keep you out of “last-minute” crisis mode.

3

Margins, pricing & mix

Understand which products, services or clients actually carry your profit and how to protect margins when costs or demand shift.

4

Growth decisions

Explore scenarios for hiring, capacity increases and new locations using a repeatable, numbers-driven approach.

5

Risk & “what if?” planning

Stress-test your plans against slower sales, cost jumps or delayed payments so surprises become manageable, not catastrophic.

6

Systems, rituals & handover

Design simple monthly and quarterly check-ins, dashboards and meeting rhythms your team can run without external support.

Participants taking part in a financial analysis module

What happens inside each module?

Every module follows a familiar rhythm so you can plan around your schedule and know what to expect each week.

  • Short concept briefing with concrete examples from Australian businesses.
  • Live case lab where we work through one scenario as a group.
  • Optional “apply it to your numbers” task you can complete in 60–90 minutes.
  • Q&A or office hour to clear roadblocks before the next module.

If you miss a session, you’ll have access to summaries and tools so you can catch up quickly without falling behind the group.

Support that fits around a real workload

We know you’re running a business while studying. The program is built to respect limited attention and unpredictable weeks.

Mentor feedback

Get practical comments on your worksheets and dashboards, focused on clarity, risk and next actions instead of technical perfection.

Implementation weeks

We intentionally slow the pace at key points so you can embed new routines inside your team before adding more tools.

Take-home systems

Leave with checklists, templates and review rhythms that stay useful long after the last session ends.
